BARONESS Talks Gear With PREMIER GUITAR
July 17, 2010Premier Guitar's Jordan Wagner is conducted an interview with guitarists Peter Adams and John Baizley of Savannah, Georgia's BARONESS on May 18, 2010 in Madison, Wisconsin. In the seven-minute segment which can be viewed below, Adams and Baizley walk Premier Guitar through their rigs, which include custom shop First Act guitars, Gibson Les Pauls, BadCat amplifiers, Emperor and Green guitar cabinets, and effects from companies like Electro-Harmonix, MXR, Boss, Dunlop, Ernie Ball, etc.
BARONESS' second full-length album, "Blue Record", sold around 4,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 117 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD landed at No. 1 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200. Released on October 13, 2009 via Relapse Records, the follow-up to 2007's critically acclaimed "The Red Album" was recorded in Dallas, Texas with producer/engineer John Congleton (EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY, THE POLYPHONIC SPREE, BLACK MOUNTAIN).
